Negativity

Negativity.  We all deal with it from time to time. In our careers, in our relationships with friends, in our personal and emotional feelings towards ourselves, and even in our families.  But what makes us continually deal with that negativity?

If it is in our careers, sometimes we have no choices. Some people are just negative. Always have been always will be.  It could be because they are jealous with how a coworker performs. It could be because they are having personal issues to deal with at home. They could be avoiding dealing with something in their past. Whatever the reason for their negativity, at work we can be friendly to them or we can choose to just ignore their negativity.

If we are dealing with negativity in our relationships with our friends or family members or with ourselves, then we must take a harder look at that friend and that relationship.  Try talking to the friend to see if their is something going on that you might be able to help them with.  I know that before I started eating healthier and working out, I was faced with myself being negative.  I hated it. It wasn't the real me.  I was just disguising my unhappiness and stress with the negativity.  Has it all disappeared? No. But a huge portion of it has, simply because I feel better and I am making strides to deal with everything that was weighing me down.  Ask yourself, if nothing changes, can you continue the friendship. Now, I hate losing friends, I am sure we all do. But, if a friend is literally bringing you down and causing issues in your life, then maybe that friendship has run its course.

Some people use negativity as a weapon.  They use sharp tongues to slice at the emotional well-being of others. Usually this is done to ones that they love or profess to love the most.  The hardest thing we can do is to take a deep breath, admit that their is a problem, and walk away from those we love.  We all grow and change as humans, and some people are only meant to be in our lives for a specific amount of time, and then they are gone.

YOU are the most important thing in YOUR life!! Take that first step at correcting things in your life that are hurting you and causing you pain.  Get rid of the negativity, no matter how hard that may be, and live life as you were meant to......full of energy, love, and grace.  I know I have and am and the results are phenomenal and I am not finished yet.

#newmein2017 UPDATE:

I took advantage of the beautiful day today and went to the National Museum of the Marine Corps and walked 2.34 miles on the Semper Fi Memorial Trail.  I really had to push myself today as I changed up part of that walk.  This one kicked my tail....I am still sore from the walk. I will go lift weights a little later.

Yesterday I walked the trail for 2.13 miles, sold tickets at the school for a baseball game, and then lifted weights, my regular regimen.  I need to add more repetitions to my triceps and biceps, but I feel comfortable with all the rest.  I did add 20 more ab curls and upped the weight to 50lbs.

**If any of you have suggestions for my journey, please feel free to share in a comment on this blog**
