2017 Reading Challenge
I did it! Yep, I signed up for a reading challenge again this year. Originally I thought "Why not try to read 100 books this year?" and then I remembered that I wanted to do that last year as well and fell short by 50+. Thank goodness for Goodreads.com and being able to edit my challenge multiple times. This year I chose 50. Now, I can change it to add more if I need to, and if I keep on the way I am going, I will need to alter that sometime around May. So far, for January alone, I have read 7 books. I added another one today, so that makes 8 in 32 days. Which means I am ahead of schedule. I encourage everyone to challenge themselves to read more books this year. Fiction or non-fiction, and there are a few non-fiction books I really want to read this year.
I picked up book two in the Selection series, The Elite, last week. I had read book #1 and loved it but had been told that the second one was not as good. I am so glad I am finding that was not the case. Book two was so great that I read it in one day. Then I had to wait the entire weekend in order to get #3 The One, to read on Monday. Now I am on book 4 The Heir. I am also going to re-read the Harry Potter Series, so I am currently reading the first one: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. The third book I am currently reading is The Mayqueen Murders. It promises to be a chilling page turner. I am going to keep this short, but I will report back on all the books I am reading and will start a blog post with the titles, and will update it as well. Please make comments on what books you are reading and let's recommend books to each other, new or old.
