A Bittersweet Graduation Countdown
Whew!! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will officially graduate from Appalachian State University with my Masters of Library Science on Friday, May 8, 2015. It is a bittersweet time. My mother will not physically be there to see me walk across the stage and get my Masters degree. I know she will be looking down from heaven smiling and proud of all I have accomplished. I miss my mother so much each day. Recently there have been numerous days in which I reach for my phone to call her and tell her about or vent about my day and then I realize she will never be at the other end of the phone line again. She was my rock throughout my entire life. This first year without her has been so overwhelming. She will never hold my children in her arms. I tell myself that instead of holding them here on earth she will give them one last hug in heaven and then let God send them to me. I know she is looking in on me from ti...
